In early April we were contracted by an apartment complex developer to demolish a 67,000 sq. ft. 2 story building/warehouse to make way for a luxury apartment complex. The project was completed on schedule in approximately 55 days despite rain delays.
The project began with removal of all the trash from the building. The previous tenants left little inside, approximately 10 loads of trash were hauled off as work began from the southwest corner of the structure. We first removed the walls of the structure completely hauling off the structure prior to starting at the foundation. Below is a summary of some of the materials recovered from the project.
- 40 loads of trash
- 450 loads of dirt
- Over 800 tons of steel and rebar
- 12,000 tons of concrete
Over 85% of materials will be recycled from this project.
